Our Beginnings:
Birds Hill Enterprises began in the fall of
1994 in a small basement workshop. News of our innovative tart
shell presses spread quickly through articles in Country Woman Magazine,
The Winnipeg Free Press and Farm Woman Magazine and the business was
soon too large for the basement workshop.
Robert Booy, owner and designer, had no idea that his patented pastry
presses would prove so popular but agreed to make a "few hundred" to see
how they would sell. Fourteen years, and thousands of presses later, he
builds and designs tart and pie making machines and accessories in a
woodwork shop located near Winnipeg, Manitoba.

All our wood products are designed and manufactured by us.
Today we sell our machines and presses world wide to bakeries,
restaurants, home based businesses and home bakers. Much of Birds
Hill Enterprises business is custom designing and manufacturing
affordable pie and tart dough forming machines to our customers'
specifications.
